UP, UP, and AWAY. Nearly 20 Sandia Prep National Honor Society (NHS) volunteers braved pre-dawn hours to lend a hand at this year's Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Throughout both opening and closing weekends, our intrepid crack-of-dawn-patrollers donned safety vests and warm smiles as they aided guests who arrived early and in droves to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Albuquerque's spectacular event.

The unprecedented rain neither deterred nor dampened their spirits. Marshaled by the spirit of giving, our NHS students were and are on a mission to raise enough money to make a child's wish come true this year through their support of Make-A-Wish.
