Introducing SummerPrep's brand new 5-day outdoor adventure class! This specialty class focuses on skill-building, teamwork, and outdoor adventure throughout our beautiful state of New Mexico.

Young Trailblazers: 5-Day Outdoor Adventure

This weeklong "sleepaway" SummerPrep class encompasses skill building, teamwork, and exploration. Outdoor excursions throughout New Mexico include camping, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, and more! (Please note that this class takes place after the full 6-week SummerPrep program has ended.)

Monday: On campus - Skill building, gear checkout, initiative games
Tuesday: Red Rock Trail and Walatowa Slot Canyon hike and camp at Bandelier National Monument
Wednesday: Exploring Bandelier National Monument
Thursday: White water rafting in Taos. Camp at Bandelier National Monument
Friday: Begin the drive home and rock climb in the Jemez along the way. Return to Sandia Prep campus at 5:00 p.m.

Grades: 5 - 7
Dates: July 21 - 25 (Please note that this class takes place after the full 6-week SummerPrep program has ended.)
