Giving Overview
Thanks to You.
Since its founding in 1966, Sandia Prep has enjoyed more than five decades of loyal support from its alumni, current families, grandparents, parents of alumni, corporate and foundation partners, and friends in the community. Philanthropic support helps Sandia Prep maintain a diverse community of teachers and students who seek creativity, innovation, and achievement in all that they do. your impact
Your generous gift touches the lives of every Sandia Prep student, empowering us to deliver our Five A’s:
A blend of contemporary and traditional education fosters creative and critical thinking. Challenging courses focus on active learning and collaboration, preparing students for college admission and future success. With a curriculum embracing advanced technology, students are equipped for the evolving demands of the world.
A proud tradition encourages students to explore athletics, learning lifelong skills in fitness, teamwork, and leisure. With a "no-cut" philosophy, all students who attend practices can play on a team, fostering individual skill improvement, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Over 80% of students participate in sports, contributing to our numerous championship titles.
An abundance of performing and visual arts is offered at every grade level, encouraging creativity and appreciation of all forms. Students gain technical skills and become familiar with the vocabulary and materials of the fine arts, while exploring self-expression through music, theater, and visual arts.
From chess to our Outdoor Leadership Program, Medieval Times to La Chispa Literary Magazine, our Activity periods offer students the chance to delve into their passions and uncover new ones. With more than 30 options each quarter, students can either stick to their favorites or explore something new every nine weeks, all within a schedule that prioritizes this unique time.
Activity periods play a vital role in shaping well-rounded students. Clubs and organizations further enrich this experience, allowing students to engage in group interests while growing into independent, contributing members of the broader community.
More than just a beautiful campus, we are a community where your child will thrive in an atmosphere of kindness, collaboration, and character. Whether it’s through engaging math lessons that make complex topics exciting, discovering lifelong outdoor hobbies, or participating in Model United Nations to tackle global issues, these are the real experiences that shape our Prep students.
