Moving to Albuquerque?
Welcome to the 505!
Albuquerque averages 310 days of sunshine a year. Nestled along the Rio Grande, with the Sandia Mountains on our eastern flank and volcanic cones to our west, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. New Mexico residents love to run, hike, bike, camp, ski, golf, climb, chase hot air balloons, enjoy wildlife, and much more!
Known for our Native American and Latino cultures, Albuquerque is recognized as one of the most culturally diverse cities in the nation. Our architecture, art, cultural centers, and cuisine are vibrant and fascinating. The metro area is also quickly becoming a technology and innovation hub. Film and TV production has also rapidly expanded here in the last decade.
Sandia Prep’s student body, curriculum, and activities reflect and celebrate this unique blend of cultures and traditions. From our Native American Sandia Prep Alliance to our Spanish Model United Nations, from our Outdoor Leadership Program to our new mountain biking club, we take every opportunity to introduce students to the traditions, skills, and leisure activities that help them embrace the Land of Enchantment.
When you become part of the Sandia Prep family, we’ll be more than happy to help you settle in. We might even share our secrets about where to find the best green chile cheeseburger!
Let us know how we can help. And welcome to Sandia Prep!
