"Should you shield the canyons from the windstorms you would never see the true beauty of their carvings." -- Elisabeth Kubler-Ross. This quote reminds me to accept that loss and sorrow are part of our journey in life, and resilience is beautiful. It's also a reminder to appreciate every season and every aspect of nature.

What's your secret skill or something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I'm a coyote whisperer! I've enjoyed photographing coyotes for about 30 years, so I'm always searching for them around Corrales. This summer, I got to help a coyote pup that was unfortunately separated from its pack. I drove it up to the New Mexico Wildlife Center in Espanola where it eventually will be released into the wild.

What do you enjoy most about Sandia Prep?
I love that our faculty and staff truly care about the students and our community. Prep encourages and challenges everyone to take risks, learn new skills, and enjoy the journey! My son attended Prep for all seven years, and now my niece is in high school here. I've always felt so fortunate to be part of the Prep family!
