Gabe '27, Auggie '26, Josiah '26, and Avery '27 represented Sandia Prep at the New Mexico Music Educators Association (NMMEA) All-State Festival. As part of the festival’s guitar ensemble, they joined 72 of the state’s most talented high school guitarists.
Sandia Preparatory School is seeking a full-time French instructor to teach a combination of middle school and upper school French classes. Welcome back, students! Before the Spring 2025 semester begins, let’s look back at our eighth graders' action-packed finals week. They explored the state capitol, bonded over ice-skating, visited literacy buddies at Los Ranchos, and crafted winter projects. The week ended with a screening of Out of My Mind and an adaptive sports activity led by disability educator Travis Davis—plus their math and science finals! A week full of learning, connection, and impact!

In the Photo 1 classes, students got creative with food and drink photography! 📸 From commercial techniques to photojournalistic storytelling with a touch of whimsy, we hope you enjoy the student's work!
❄️ Prep's Winter Wonderland event was a huge success, with over 100 people attending before winter break! The Pitchfork was filled with festive cheer as guests enjoyed coffee drinks from our café, took pictures with Santa, and strolled through various pop-up markets, many run by students. It was a wonderful way to wrap up the semester with alumni, faculty, students, and families!

Seniors in the Spanish 5 and Heritage Language classes traveled to El Paso last month for the Cristo Rey Border Immersion Program, led by Modern Language Chair Claudio Pérez. 🌟 The students volunteered at the Hugs Not Walls event, organized by the Border Network for Human Rights, which allows migrant families to reunite with loved ones who have irregular migrant status in the U.S. and are unable to return to Mexico. It was an unforgettable experience for our students and faculty. 💕🌎
