NEW! Hogwarts School™: Defense Against the Dark Arts

Young witches and wizards will embark on an exciting, hands-on journey to explore the magical world of protection, bravery, and adventure! Campers will discover how to defend themselves from the imaginary dark forces lurking in every nook and cranny of the magical world. From battling dark creatures to learning magical spells, you will participate in activities like creating protective charms, constructing their own magical creatures, and learning about famous magical heroes and villains.

Kids Cook!

Create tasty multicultural meals while learning preparation skills, including the names and proper use of kitchen tools, kitchen sanitation and safety, social skills, table manners, awareness/understanding of cultures, and appreciation of differences. Kids Cook! uses an integrated curriculum, including nutrition, literature, music appreciation, art, cultures of the world, math, science, social studies, and geography. Bon appétit!

Minecraft™

Minecraft is a fun game for all ages that has a variety of ways for students to interact with the software. SummerPrep will offer three levels of Minecraft for campers to pick from depending on their interest and skill level.

Minecraft - Level 1 Survival Mode
This Level 1 class will be played in "survival mode" and will require players to survive and explore the map. Best for beginning players or those interested in learning the tricks and tips of survival.

Minecraft - Level 2 Architecture
Architecture (building) will be the focus of this class. Players need to survive while completing building tasks assigned to them based on their skill level. Challenges ramp up over the course of the class, and there will be a design competition by the end.

Minecraft - Level 3 Cooperative Arena Challenge
Players work together to conquer other groups and dominate the map. There will be rogue solo agents who will interrupt the cooperative's efforts to control. Think of it as Fortnite with a Minecraft twist.

More Than a Tiara: Princesses and Fairy Tales

Princesses and fairy tales aren’t just about glitter and tiaras (although there’s plenty of that in this class)! Princesses come from all walks of life and are found in fairy tales around the world and throughout history. Explore what makes a princess a princess (including kindness and bravery) and what makes a fairy tale a fairy tale through art projects, engineering challenges, science experiments, and storytelling.

Outdoor Adventurer

Do you know what to do if you get lost in the wilderness? How do you tell which plants are edible and which are poisonous? Have you ever done a scavenger hunt using a compass? From learning to cook while camping to setting up the perfect campsite, you’ll come away with a whole new skill set to take on your next outdoor adventure.

Outdoor Leader

If you love the outdoors, this new leadership course is for you! Learn lifelong leadership skills through planning, problem-solving, teamwork, playing, cooking, and administering first aid in the wilderness. As you learn skills to lead others through challenging conditions, you’ll build confidence and make new friends who share your love of nature.

Pokémon - Level 1
Prepare for your next Pokemon adventure. Not only is your goal to “catch ’em all,” but you’ll learn how to build the most powerful deck of Pokemon and use your characters’ attacks and abilities to defeat your opponent. Beginner card set provided.
